Export specific PDF pages as PNG
Often only one page of a long document is needed. Instead of converting everything, you can select pages individually or by range.
Selecting with the thumbnails
After loading, every page appears as a thumbnail. Clicking an image toggles the page on or off. The caption below each preview shows the pixel size at the selected resolution.
Writing ranges correctly
The page range field accepts a mix of single pages and spans: 1,3,5-8 selects page 1, page 3 and pages 5 through 8.
- Commas separate single pages or spans.
- A hyphen describes a span including both ends.
- Pages that do not exist are ignored and reported.
- Letters or reversed spans count as invalid, and the previous selection is kept.
The order stays as in the original
Output always follows the page order of the PDF, not the order you typed. Entering 8,3,1 still produces the images for pages 1, 3 and 8.
File names keep the original page number, for example document-page-003.png, so every image stays traceable.
Common mistakes
A frequent mistake is assuming PDF page numbers match printed page numbers. Cover sheets and roman-numbered sections shift that count; the preview shows the real position in the document.
A second mistake is a large selection at high resolution. The tool limits the number of pages and total pixels, so a lower resolution may be the practical fix.
